Almond Milk
1 cup raw almonds
4 cups filtered water
pinch sea salt
1 small date
Method
- Place the almonds in a bowl and cover them with water and a pinch of salt. Soak them over night
- Drain and rinse the nuts well. Transfer them to a liquidizer and add 4 cups of filtered water. Add the date and a pinch of salt. Puree until smooth
- Strain the milk through a fine-mesh sieve or doubled cheesecloth. Squeeze to remove all the liquid. This will store in the fridge for up to 5 days.
