Stewed Apple and Natural Yoghurt
Stewed Apple with Natural Yoghurt
Serves 6
3 Bramley cooking apples
¼ cup water
¼ cup raisins/sultanas (for added sweetness and fibre)
1 tsp cinnamon
40g (2oz) xylitol (or to taste)
Natural Yoghurt
Method
- Peel and core the apples and chop them into small pieces
- Put all the ingredients in a covered, heavy-bottomed pan and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring regularly. Cook until soft with rough shapes no longer identifiable. The colour should be russet brown with the cinnamon effect
- These may be eaten warm or cold at this stage
- Place 1 to 2 tablespoons of the cold apple into a wine glass. Top with 1 to 2 tablespoon of natural yoghurt.
