Green Smoothie

Green Smoothie

500ml filtered or spring water (not carbonated)

A few sprigs of fresh mint

A little fresh ginger

A small pinch of turmeric or cayenne pepper

A handful of any berries of your choice or kiwi

Half an avocado

Half a cucumber (chop first)

Handful of spinach, kale, cabbage

Juice from half a lime or lemon

‘Superfood’ powder or spirulina/chlorella/barley grass/wheat grass powder

 

Method

  1. Using a blender, blend all the ingredients until very smooth
  2. Drink immediately.

This is ideal before your main breakfast meal instead of a juice.  It is raw so you should get a big nutrient boost early in the morning helping to set you up with energy for the rest of the day.
