Dirty Dozen and Clean Fifteen

UACF_EG_Hero_NoBadge_Healthy-Eating

You may have heard of the ‘dirty dozen’ and ‘clean fifteen’. If you are worried about the level of pesticides in the food you buy, these two lists can help you be a clever shopper!

The fruit and vegetables with the highest mix of pesticide residues are known as the Dirty Dozen and these are the ones to avoid when you are shopping. Make sure you choose organic for all items on this list!

The fruit and vegetables with the lowest mix of pesticide residues are known as the Clean Fifteen. You may consider buying cheaper, none-organic items from this list if you are on a tight budget.

(Note: it is also worth checking back for updated lists each year as these items often change year by year.)
